the maps Armada and Crossroads do not support offline bots at all currently for any mode Search and Destroy and VIP Escort modes, do not support offline bots at all online zombies, has the option to add a second player for split-screen, but even when you do this the game won't launch and will often come up with a error stating this mode has exceeded the maximum amount of players, (unsure if ths is a glitch or the fact zombies isn't supposed to be split-screen at all) offline zombies has no option for split-screen or adding a controller when playing offline period (unsure if this is a glitch or the fact zombies has no split-screen option offline at all when playing split-screen multiplayer (versus) often player 2 can not select a class when starting the match at all. when playing split-screen multiplayer (versus) player 2 can do create-a-class but only edit the main weapon, they can not edit any attachments
V1.08 you can no longer play split-screen offline, when adding player 2, it will attempt to add player 2 and just fail each time.

1.10 update - literally nothing added for offline 1.09 update - literally nothing added for offline KNOWN MAJOR OFFLINE ISSUES/BUGS all present in latest 1.08 'season one' version (tested on PS4/PS5) Please read these as it may answer some questions instead of posting a comment. Prop hunt is available offline now, however no bot support. RAID and PINES map are available offline now Multiplayer offline split-screen is working again, it seems to have all the same issues it had prior to the 1.09 update where it got broken, rough menus, class selection not working in certain scenarios, I've also found Nuketown 84 in split-screen will crash every time it loads into the match.etc etc. Zombies now allows 2 player split-screen in offline, you can add a controller as well as start/boot the match fine, however the same issues persist with offline split-screen, visual/menu glitches/bugs just like the normal multiplayer split-screen Offline experience is getting better, very slowly, but it's getting there. no new weapons or any other feautres, many previous split-screen glitches/issues still present. outbreak game mode with 3 maps playable offline in zombies Firebase Z is playable offline in zombies Raid map is now playable in normal multiplayer vs Same issues as before, glitches galore, same split-screen/menu issues since launch.
4 Gunfight maps have been added, however this seems to be a glitch as the Gunfight mode is missing, if you force it, it will work but no bot support so pretty useless at this stage. Express map is now playable in normal multiplayer vs- Zombies Outbreak has 4 maps total now, Alpine, Ruka, Sanatorium, Golova 1.15/1.16/1.7 UPDATES no noticable changes for offline play at all, same glitches/issues since launch still there. Same issues present from launch, split-screen still has graphical issues, bots can't change difficulty, menu glitches etc. Handcannon scorestreak has been added, pretty cool 45 Long Slide with laser sighting so you can pretend you are the terminator. Restrictions have finally been fixed, both in the menus and now actually working.new maps, Yamantau, Miami Strike (a smaller daytime/slightly different version to Miami) and Diesel (which does not support bots even though it should) Gunfight maps added, but again the mode isn't properly support nor does it support bots. There aren't enough couch co op games these days.Two new maps added for offline Hijacked and Collateral, Collateral does not support botsīots difficulty finally fixed since launch, you can now change difficulty of bots from regular to anything how it should be. It appears you need to be in offline mode to add a locally created guest account to the party and pop some zombies together. I then started experimenting and worked out that I can achieve the same result by launching the game from my main account, and then on that annoying COD game launcher screen where once again you choose which version of COD you want to play: press square to switch between online and offline mode before selecting the game. Regardless, the guest account was able to create an offline game (of cold War zombies) that I could then join with my main account. I presume this was because there was no email address attached to the account.
I followed the above advice of launching the game from the guest account, this automatically created an Activision account of sorts but one that was restricted to playing offline. Just because I came across the same issue, but with the PS5 this evening.
